Rollover Crash on Rt. 1

In the afternoon of Saturday, August 15th, 2015, the Townsend Fire Company responded, along with Station 44 (Citizens Hose Co. of Smyrna) as part of a dual response agreement, to a rollover on Rt. 1, in the area of Fredrick Lodge Trailer Park. Crews arrived to find a one vehicle MVC, with the vehicle on its side, one person trapped in the vehicle. Crews stabilized the vehicle, made access to the victim and extricated the victim by removing the roof of the vehicle. The victim was flown to Christiana Hospital, by DSP Aviation Trooper 4, or further evaluation and treatment. Once the scene was mitigated, crews cleared the scene, turning it overto DSP.
