Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna, Townsend Fire Company and American Legion Ambulance and Kent County Medics responded to this single vehicle accident on southbound Rt. 1 on March 21, at 730 AM. One person was flown to Christiana Hospital in serious condition after rolling several times and landing on its side. The occupant was trapped for several minutes, before firefighters could remove the roof and safely extricate him. The Delaware state police are investigating the incident. Photos By Michele Ehart
