The Townsend Fire Department started hiring Full and Part Time Employees in 1998, to cover our first due ambulance between the hours of 0500 hours (5 AM) to 1500 hours (3 PM). Our 2 full time positions are currently filled, but we continually take on part time applications. Our Part Time Staff cover the positions of our Full Time Staff when they are out sick, use personal days or vacation.
